Hey guys sorry I haven’t posted in a while I have been busy. Anyway during my “break” I stumbled across a fun art project that I though would be great for the summer!

*Warning* This project is not for children ages 0-9 if you do attempt this then be sure to have an adults supervision when handling the scissors and glow stick liquid.

Here is what you need:

  • A glass jar or any plastic container
  • A few Glow sticks (colors of your choice)
  • Scissors
  • A bit of Glitter (colors of your choice)

The steps

  1. Activate (crack the glow sticks).
  2. Open the top of the jar/plastic container.
  3. Cut a slit in the glow sticks with the scissors. Be careful with this part because there may contain glass in the glow sticks so have a parent help you with this.
  4. Shake out the glow liquid into the jar/container
  5. After you pour the glow liquid then shake a bit of glitter into the mix.
  6. Put the lid on jar/ container and shake the content until the mixture sticks to the insides of the jar/ container.
  7. Turn ff the lights and enjoy your fake fireflies.

P.S. You will need to collect A LOT of starburst wrappers for this project you can ask friends or family to help you eat all the starburst!

P.P.S The last part is kinda tricky so be prepared!
